Nowadays, customers evaluate products or services not just on prices and functionalities. In fact, the whole experience matters greatly. This goes beyond the product experience. It has become imperative for companies to provide the best experience possible. In order to do so, understanding customers’ needs and preferences is crucial.
2021 will be a pivotal year for businesses to go beyond the product!
Agenda
This year’s summit will be a 3-day virtual event starting from the 17th to 19th September 2021, with the main theme “Beyond the Product”.
Tickets will give you access to the full 3-day event including all video recordings for a month. Limited seats are available.
The event starts at 1 PM till 9 PM (GMT+8) / 5 AM till 1 PM (UTC) / 10 PM till 6 AM (PDT).

User Experience Quality Certification Center (UXQCC) / International Board MemberAldrich Huang, CEO and co-founder of UXTesting.io, International Board Member at User Experience Quality Certification Center (UXQCC), Mentor at User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA) as well as the main organizer of the Savvy UX Summit.
With several years of working experience in the field of legal, business development, and customer experience, he firmly believes that better user experience will bring joy to the users.
Aprajit Kar
Gojek / Group Design Head - Consumer Platforms
Aprajit works as a design leader for Gojek's consumer platform - responsible for all the end to end experiences that make it a super app. He works with other product, design, research & engineering leadership to shape the vision and strategy for the platform teams to enable efficiency at the business unit levels like transport, food, etc. Here at Gojek, the teams are driven by value-entered design approach and his responsibility is to help guide the teams to deliver that while being enabled by processes & guided by principles.
Prior to this, Aprajit was working as the Head of design for Transport products at Gojek which has everything to do with the ride-hailing & transit services Gojek has to offer in SEA. Before Gojek, he was working as a Design lead for Myntra, India's top fashion e-commerce. After starting as an engineer and stumbling into design, he's now had more than 10 years of experience in design working with MNCs, agencies, startups and more.
Anna Zavyalova
Daito Design / Head of Research
Anna Zavyalova is Head of Research at Daito Design. With background in social anthropology and years of experience in qualitative and UX research, Anna has worked across a number of agencies as well as in-house, leading research initiatives spanning usability, strategy and behavioural insights. She has carried out global studies across a range of industries, including technology, social media, retail, urban mobility, gig economy, energy and workplace culture.
Benjamin Kuhn
Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America / Senior Manager UX/UI Design
I am a designer by heart leading the UI/UX Design team at Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design in California. After holding roles as UI/UX designer at BMW Group Design and global design agencies in Germany I moved to California with the mission to build and grow a brand-new UX team at Mercedes. The team is embedded in the global Mercedes-Benz design process while maintaining the flexibility and creativity of a startup. Working on the future of mobility has always inspired my work and keeping pace with emerging technologies never gets boring.
Billal Qureshi
Google Canada / Head of Mobile and Apps
He started at Google Canada over 10 years ago and now leads their Mobile Experiences practice working with clients across mWeb and App. He is responsible for helping Canada's largest advertisers navigate the intimidating world of mobile. His aim is to make the mobile web great again
Brigette Metzler
Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment / ResearchOps Lead
Brigette Metzler is a jump-in-with-both-boots kind of a person who is passionate about the democratisation of knowledge and the use of technology and research to get us there. Brigette believes ResearchOps plays a crucial role in scaling the impact of user research, and most weeks can find her talking ResearchOps. Brigette is the ResearchOps Lead at the Australian government Department of Agriculture, Water, and Environment. From 2017-2020, Brigette led the user research library at Services Australia. Alongside chairing several government communities of practice, she is also the co-chair of the ResearchOps Community, a global community of people discussing ResearchOps — the people, mechanisms, and strategies for scaling research.
Christie Lenneville
GitLab / Vice President of User Experience
After graduating with a psychology degree in the late 90s, Christie quickly realized her passion was technology. That was before UX was much of a thing, so she went back to school to get a software engineering degree. Luckily, UX is really the intersection of psychology/technology, so she landed in the right place. For most of her career, Christie has crafted experiences for developer-focused tools. Her goal is to bring delight to the tools we "have" to use to get our jobs done.
Chris Stair
JPMorgan Chase & Co. / VP, Product Design
Chris is a product design manager at J.P. Morgan Chase. He spent his UX career in finance where he designed everything from an insider-trading-hunting dashboard to credit risk modelers to a cryptocurrency-aggregator. He revels the chaos/clarity that comes with a good design process and delights in exposing stakeholders to user research. In his free time he cultivates disorder at home by looking after a small pack of lapdogs.
Dynin Khem
Agoda / Director of Design
Dynin Khem is the Director of Design at Agoda, a travel platform in South East Asia. He helped build and leads the product design organization of 50 designers responsible for all consumer-facing products, supply-side products, and enterprise tools. Previously, he spent many years working on hush-hush stuff at Amazon (Fire Phone, Fire Tablet, Amazon Echo).
Dr. Eva Deckers
Philips / Director Data Enabled Design
Eva is part of the Philips Experience Design organization, where she leads a team of designers that are at the cutting edge of integrating design, data and AI. With the team she sets out to explore and deliver solutions that deliver on the promise of precise and personalized care. Eva holds a PhD in the field of human-centered AI and translates her ideas into the health technology context. As strategist she supports her organization in shaping and implementing customer driven strategies, ensuring strategy always starts from the benefit you will deliver. Contributing to the transformation of healthcare, making steps towards Value Based Healthcare motivates her different roles. She is passionate about using the power of design, data and AI to make a difference in the health and wellbeing of people.
Haoting Chang
Public Digital Innovation Space, Taiwan Government / Design Lead
Haoting is the design lead in Public Digital Innovation Space in Taiwan government, experienced in formulating design decisions for solving complex problems by using user-centered design and research skills. She’s been exploring design in Europe and Asia, having the opportunities to enrich products, services, and now engagement and collaboration with design.
Jaime Zamorano
Amazon Music (Japan) / UX Designer
Jaime Zamorano is a Product Design Manager who leads a team in charge of engaging with businesses and build products in a quick and efficient manner; working with multicultural teams at Rakuten Inc, Tokyo.
With 10 years of experience, Jaime worked in many design-related positions: from Front-End developer to graphic and UX designer, until he found his mission: help designers growth and help businesses to adopt a user centric mindset. He believes in the power of collaboration as partners between the customer, business, development, and designers to be the catalyst of convergence and growth.
Kiyo Yamauchi
MarketCast / Senior Director, Custom Research
Ex- Twitter Japan / Head of User ExperienceKiyo Yamauchi was leading the research efforts for Twitter in Japan and other markets. During his time at Twitter (2015-2021), Twitter’s user base in Japan increased from 29M (monthly active users) to 50+M. This success came from rigorous research tailored to Japanese research participants, culture, and unique needs.
Matthew MacLaurin
Microsoft / Program Management
Ex- PlayStation / Vice President, Product DesignMatthew has founded a design agency, written high performance animation systems in C++ for console titles, authored more than 60 granted patents, and run multiple 100+ person design teams, most recently the UX team that created the PlayStation 5.
He is currently doing early stage work on AI and UI authoring at Microsoft.
Onkardeep Singh MBE
Three UK / Senior User Experience Designer
Onkar has a decade of experience as a User Experience and Visual Designer and has worked for small and multinational organisations in the UK and abroad. He is also the founder of a UX Meetup community group for beginners based in London but which is open for anyone to join worldwide. He has a wide variety of wider interests ranging from sports, photography, technology and space.

Shiran is the Director of Product Design at foodpanda APAC. Supported by a team of talented individuals from multiple disciplines including design, research, writing and engineering, Shiran’s mission is to create a beautiful experience for hungry users across multiple regions. With over 10 years of design and leadership experience, she leads her team in crafting intuitive solutions for real issues, while using qualitative and quantitative data to help support design and business decisions.
Tom Lorusso
Xbox, Microsoft / Principal User Research Lead
Tom Lorusso is a Principal User Research Manager in Xbox at Microsoft. He and his team are focused on games and gaming experiences across the entire Xbox ecosystem and Windows. Tom has been working in games for over 9 years, with 20 years of total experience in the User research field. He has been a researcher on phones, operating systems and portable ultrasound. Tom and the User Research team for Xbox Experiences tackle a variety of research questions for areas including social gaming, community, monetization, communication, cross platform gaming, video consumption, accessibility and inclusivity and of course, designing engaging games. He is also a frequent presenter at conferences and universities and is always happy to sit down and talk about games research with anyone who wants to listen. Tom is currently playing way too much Fortnite and Hearthstone and is using any excuse to jump on Xbox to talk to people who don’t live in his house.
